You say you are a Nintendo fanboy, so I was wondering what you think about the state of Nintendo right now?

I’m one of the few who feels Nintendo hasn’t changed. They’ve released Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc. which I expect from them and that leaves me satisfied. I don’t mind the graphics and feel they’re good enough. The thing is the Wii isn’t a true equal in terms of power with PS3 and Xbox 360 obviously so 3rd party devs aren’t willing to adapt. Plus Nintendo is too slow with the whole online gaming area. I don’t feel they’ve dump what they do best but that they have added a new demographic to sell to.

So anyways, what kind of videos can I expect from here? Video reviews?

I like to laugh so I want to make videos that make people laugh. I also hope to inform people. I will possibly do hardware reviews but maybe not game reviews. Definitely game previews though. Next weeks video will be Left 4 Dead themed. I’ll see if I can squeeze one out before that.

I gotta ask out of the Nintendo consoles in the last generation excluding the Wii, Virtual console, and handhelds, what has been your least favorite?

Well belive it or not I owned a Playstation when it was Playstation vs. Nintendo 64. I used to join in those school yard arguements over which was better but I would still play my friends N64. But I guess that’s more of a lack of experience more than anything. Yeah I missed out but later caught up with Goldeneye and Zelda.

DimmuJed says:
What do you think about Nintendo being remake happy?

I think it’s great for those games that were great but a lot of people missed out on. But I think they miss the mark with re-releases though. Nintendo is one company that doesn’t listen to its fanbase very well. Can you imagine how insane people would go over a remake or sequel to the Earthbound/Mother series?

Renaissance 2K says:
How long have you considered yourself a Nintendo fanboy? Are you in agreement with or do you disagree with this generation’s very abrupt change in target audience and console execution?

I would say since Gamecube even though I had an NES and SNES before that. It was the first console I got when it was still relatively new and I actually started buying my own games for it. I don’t believe the target audience is changed, just that it is broader. I do feel that Nintendo is putting a lot of importance on casual games. I’d say there casual department is “next-gen” while their old franchises haven’t changed much since the Gamecube.

Jerry says:
What’s your favorite game on the Wii? Do you still play the Wii?

I would say Mario Strikers Charged. That game’s AI would kick your butt and everyone online was insane but the gameplay was really complex, maybe even close to Smash Bros. I still play the Wii at my friends house. I had sold all my Nintendo stuff last year. I would have kept it if my friends wanted to play more but these days we rarely play games together regardless of the platform. The only thing I regret is not having more Pokemon battles.
